Acronyms in Children Proceedings

The Family Court often uses acronyms to describe different types of hearing. This can be confusing if you are not familiar with these terms particularly when there is a lot of other information to remember.

Below is a brief explanation of what acronyms may be used if you are involved in private proceedings under the Children Act 1989 and what you can expect to happen at these hearings in a straightforward application.
